Late Devananda Bhorali
Late Devananda Bhorali, a freedom fighter, academician and social worker established Kamrup College of Vocational Training in the year 1955. Late Bhorali was regarded as the pioneer of Vocational training in the north eastern region. He established the first commercial and vocational institute at Jorhat in the year 1931, followed by another institute at Nagaon in the year 1950. Late Bhorali also established vocational Collegiate High School & National Telegraph Girls High School at Jorhat.

Dr.Devadas Bhorali M.Com, LL.B, Ph.D.
Dr.Bhorali has over 45 years of teaching and managerial experience. He was the Head and Dean, Department of Commerce, Gauhati University. He was also an expert member of the UGC Ninth Plan Visiting Team in 1997. He was also a member of Governing Bodies of various reputed Government and Semi Government institutes like Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, Assam Institute of Management. He was the Chairman of various committees constituted by Assam State Electricity Board (ASEB) and Assam Cooperative Apex Bank.
Dr.Bhorali has been playing a pivotal role in the development of Kamrup College of Vocational Training since its inception. He has been teaching Stenography and Secretarial Practice in the institute way back from 1957.
